Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations
Started in 2001, the Dot NAME generic top-level domain name extension is the single TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, just third-level registrations were allowed, so if you wished to book john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level domain names remained running.
Through our firm, you can grab your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no special restrictions on who can secure a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.
The dot NAME gTLD is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your native language.
